A painter’s eye. Two decades of craft.
Cristian “Thian” De La Peña is among the strongest realist tattooers the United States has produced in the last twenty years. A graduate of the Grand Central Academy of Art and the Art Students League of New York, he builds every piece the way a painter builds a portrait — light, anatomy and composition long before the needle meets skin.
With more than twenty-one years behind the machine and work across nineteen countries, he has tattooed celebrities, football stars and members of recognized royal families. His reputation for black & grey and color realism precedes him — and his chair in Fitchburg is open to every style, because the story matters more than the category.
A tattoo is not just ink on skin. It is identity, history and how you show up in the world. Thian turns that vision into permanent art — with the security, professionalism and creativity it deserves.

Aftercare & Healing
You leave with clear healing instructions and a direct line to Thian for questions — plus a touch-up policy standing behind his work.

Every piece is quoted individually based on size, detail and placement. Smaller work starts at the studio minimum; larger pieces are priced by the session. Ask about our 2×1 special on small tattoos and our veterans discount — you will always know the full price before any deposit is taken.
How do I book an appointment?

Do you take walk-ins?
Walk in welcome all day! (But please call beforehand to accommodate you a space.) That way we can hold a chair and give you the attention your piece deserves.

Yes — we speak Spanish / Hablamos español. Feel free to call, WhatsApp, or write your consultation in Spanish.
What is the 2×1 special on small tattoos?
Ask for our 2×1 special when you book small tattoos — two small pieces for a special studio rate. Details depend on size and design; mention it on WhatsApp, the form, or when you walk in.
Is there a discount for veterans?
Yes. We offer a discount for veterans — mention your service at consultation or when you message us and we will apply it to your quote.
Does it hurt?
Honestly — some, and placement matters more than size. Most clients describe it as far more manageable than they imagined. Thian works at a calm pace, checks in constantly, and breaks whenever you need to.
Can you cover up an old tattoo?
Yes — cover-ups and reworks are a specialty. Send a clear, well-lit photo of the existing piece with your idea, and Thian will tell you honestly what is possible before you commit to anything.
What styles do you do?
Thian is known for realism, black & grey and portraits — but every style is welcome: traditional, Japanese, geometric, fine-line, color, lettering and more. Twenty years across nineteen countries means very little he has not done.
How should I prepare for my session?
Sleep well, eat a real meal beforehand, hydrate, and moisturize the area in the days before. Avoid alcohol for 24 hours and skip the sunburn. Wear something that gives easy access to the placement.
